In 2023, he was inducted into both the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). Membership in these organizations is based on peer recommendation and recognizes orthopedic surgeons who have demonstrated expertise in their field and a dedication to advancing patient care. As the first ASES member in West Texas, Dr. Ramsey brings a level of specialized shoulder expertise to the Lubbock community that is unique to the region.
His experience also extends well beyond the operating room. Throughout his career, Dr. Ramsey has cared for athletes at virtually every level, from youth and high school competitors to collegiate and professional athletes, as well as individuals who simply want to stay active. His background includes serving as part of the physician team for the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Arkansas Razorbacks. In West Texas, he has served as team physician for Wayland Baptist University, the Lubbock Matadors, and the Levelland Lobos, in addition to caring for athletes across numerous local schools and athletic programs.
