Dr. Susanne Lockhart of Lockhart Matter Dermatology has been reviewed and approved by TX Top Docs for 2023. Dr. Lockhart is a board certified dermatologist who has been in private practice in North Dallas since 2000.
Dr. Lockhart particularly enjoys having the opportunity to treat patients of all ages. She evaluates and treats a variety of general dermatological conditions including (but not limited to) anything from acne, eczema, psoriasis, birthmarks, moles, and rashes to diagnosing and treating skin cancers including melanoma. Her empathetic nature and ability to quickly arrive at the correct diagnosis draws patients to her.
Dr. Lockhart received her B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A & M University in 1991. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She graduated from medical school in 1996 with honors and was awarded membership in Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then completed her internal medicine internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her dermatology residency training was performed at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she served as chief resident. She completed her dermatology training in 2000.
As a breast cancer survivor, Dr. Lockhart supports the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the importance of early breast cancer detection.
