She then earned her medical degree from the highly respected UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation’s premier medical honor society, and graduated at the top of her class.
Dr. Young completed her general surgery internship at Parkland Hospital, followed by her residency in otolaryngology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. During her training, she was awarded the American Academy of Otolaryngology Resident Leadership Grant, published multiple articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, and participated in an international medical mission to Honduras with Surgical Medical Assistance Relief Teams (S.M.A.R.T.), reflecting her dedication to service and advancing her field.
Dr. Young’s clinical expertise and commitment to excellence have earned her consistent recognition as a Texas Monthly “Rising Star” and “Super Doctor” every year since 2016. She remains actively involved in organized medicine as a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. She also previously served as President of the Austin Society of Otolaryngology from 2016 to 2018.
