A proud San Antonio native, Dr. Belz graduated from Health Careers High School before attending Princeton University, where she earned her degree summa cum laude in Anthropology with a concentration in German. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, selected as a Fulbright Scholar, and conducted research in Berlin. She is fluent in both Spanish and German.
Dr. Belz completed her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she was a distinguished Gamble Scholar. During her training, she was awarded a Max Kade/AAF fellowship that allowed her to study in Vienna at the renowned Allgemeines Krankenhaus, an experience that helped solidify her passion for plastic and cosmetic surgery. Returning to Penn, she gained early and extensive exposure to breast, body, and facial surgery under the guidance of exceptional mentors.
Dr. Belz’s academic journey then took her to the Midwest, where she completed her plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, one of the nation’s leading programs. She went on to receive advanced fellowship training in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, working under Dr. Dennis Hammond—an internationally recognized expert and developer of the SPAIR technique. She is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
