To fulfill the requirements of his specialty training in ophthalmology, Dr. Rubin returned to Austin for his internship at Brackenridge Hospital, where he gained invaluable hands-on experience managing a wide spectrum of medical conditions, from heart attacks and appendectomies to delivering newborns. His ophthalmology residency then brought him to San Antonio, where he trained extensively and ultimately found a permanent home for both his career and his family.
