Dr. Chadwick Sargent Of Lubbock Endodontics has been reviewed and approved by TX Top Docs for 2025. Dr. Sargent, a 7th-generation Texan from Duncanville, has been serving the Lubbock community as a skilled and compassionate endodontist since 2006.
Dr. Sargent’s journey into dentistry was deeply personal—while a freshman at Texas Tech University, he researched and diagnosed his own cancer after two physicians had been unable to do so. Surviving this experience, along with the early loss of his father, inspired his lifelong mission to help others, particularly in managing pain. An honors graduate from Texas Tech, Dr. Sargent went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, graduating with Fourth Scholastic Honors and receiving numerous awards, including the Gross Anatomy Top Student Award and selection to the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. During dental school, he also received a highly competitive full-ride scholarship from the United States Navy.
Following graduation, Dr. Sargent completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program in Southern California before serving over seven years in the Navy. While stationed at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, he was selected to attend the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Graduate Endodontic Program, one of the most respected endodontic training programs in the world. He later served as Endodontic Department Head at a busy Navy hospital in North Carolina, providing dental trauma and endodontic care to service members while also lecturing to advanced dental trainees. During his military service, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander and was a four-time recipient of the Naval and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
Since returning to Texas, Dr. Sargent joined an existing Lubbock practice and together formed Lubbock Endodontics, building on a long-standing reputation for excellence in root canal care. He is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the South Plains Dental Society. Dr. Sargent has been recognized in Texas Super Dentists and featured in Texas Monthly Magazine.
