Dr. Antonio Lopez brings over 20 years of experience in the medical field. He earned his degree from Nuevoleon Medical University in 1990 and began his practice in Monterrey, Mexico. In 1996, Dr. Lopez moved to the United States, where he received his second degree from the University of Illinois.

A year later, in 1997, Dr. Lopez proudly became a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice. His career has spanned several specialties, including cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, and family medicine. While practicing in Illinois, Dr. Lopez’s commitment to his patients and community was evident. In 2001, he and his family made the move to San Antonio, where he’s continued to thrive and proudly contribute to the local community.

Since opening the doors to Lopez Family Practice, Dr. Lopez has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Outstanding Leadership in Doctoral Achievement from the Chamber of Commerce (2008), America’s Top Family Doctors by the Consumer’s Research Council of America (2009), and Best Physicians as Voted by Their Peers in Scene in SA (2008).
