• Undergraduate: Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Texas A&M University (Magna Cum Laude, University and Foundation Honors)
• Medical School: University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (Alpha Omega Alpha Student Research Fellowship Scholarship recipient)
• Residency: Two years in General Surgery at University of Illinois-Mt. Sinai Hospital, followed by Anesthesiology residency at Rush University Medical Center, Chicago
• Fellowship: Pain Medicine Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center
