Central Texas Pediatric Dentistry
Affectionately known as Dr. Angie by her patients, Dr. Joy Angie Hernandez is a warm, skilled pediatric dentist and orthodontist dedicated to providing exceptional care for children of all ages and abilities. She proudly serves families across Austin, Texas, at Central Texas Pediatric Dentistry, where she combines expertise with heart to create positive dental experiences from the very first visit.
Originally from Arkansas, Dr. Angie earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She completed an intensive two-year pediatric residency at Children’s Medical Center, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, and Baylor College of Dentistry. She then pursued advanced fellowship training in orthodontics to provide comprehensive care for growing smiles.
Dr. Angie is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Angie is deeply engaged in her community through a wide range of charitable and leadership roles. She is a former Rotarian and past director of the Lake Travis Education Foundation, and she currently supports the Center for Child Protection, where she plays an active role in planning fundraising initiatives. Dr. Angie also served as Chairperson of the Texas Mission of Mercy, a charitable dental event organized by the Texas Dental Association. In addition, she is a proud supporter of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Foundation and volunteers her time with The Salvation Army in Austin.
